ABOUT THE ARTIST: Charming Tails has grown to more than 500 designs encompassing delightful figurines, hanging ornaments, waterglobes and lighted houses. The collection includes numbered limited editions, dated pieces and captioned designs perfect for gift-giving to special friends on special occasions. From his home in Florida, Dean Griff continues to express the love of nature instilled in him as a child on the family farm by creating his woodland world for the thousands of collectors who have fallen in love with these endearing collectible figurines. The year 1997 was a banner year for Dean Griff. He was honored with the pretigous "Artist of the Year" award, presented by the industry's premier organazation, The National Association of Limited Edition Dealers, at the 1998 Rosemont International Collection Exposition. In 2000, Dean was awarded the "Collectibles Artist of the Year" awarded by The International Collectibles Exposition. Dean was recently honored for the second time as "Artist of the Year" at the 2002 Canadian Collectible of the Year Award Ceremony , which was sponsored by Collectibles Canada. In 2003, he began his new association with Dave Grossman to bring three new series to life, Wee Whispers, Holly Twig Lane and EOI.
