About the Artist: Karen Hahn

Originally hired as a freelance illustrator 17 years ago, Karen Hahn has since become one of Enesco's most valued artists. As art director and product designer, Karen has actively participated in creating some of Enesco's most popular collections. As Art Director and Senior Stylist, Karen has provided Enesco with many of its successful and highly popular collections. She is most recognized for creating the Friends of the Feather line. With her unparalleled creative vision and artistic talent, Karen has earned the reputation of being one of the world's most truly gifted artists.

The inspiring new Blooming Wild collection was created to honor the spirit of women and how they face some of life's challenges - a very personal project for Karen. Karen imagined each "story figure is a vessel of shared thoughts and observations. Although the words are mine, the ideas behind them are common to all women." Not only is this group beautifully rendered, but features unique messages that touch the heart - all of the sentiments printed on each piece are taken from Karen's most personal thoughts and experiences in her own words. Karen's messages are on the back of the story figures with the theme stamped on the copper leaf attached to each piece.

Along with the story figures are six resin flowers each representing a different theme. Karen said about the floral sticks that "A woman's life is like a wildflower - beautiful in bud, bloom and seed. We thrive wherever we land, whether fertile field or in a pavement crack." With her experience and artistic talent, Karen has truly become one of the industry's most gifted individuals.
