ABOUT THE
ARTIST..................
MARGARET LE VAN
Margaret Le Van Dominguez began her career by opening Rosa Rugosa, a store
on Nantucket featuring hand -painted furniture and accents. She continued her
career as a professional decorative artist for the next 12 years specializing
in faux finishes, trompe l'oeil murals and hand painted furniture. After moving
to Charleston, Margaret created a line of hand painted evening bags and custom
designed fabric totes sold through MooRoo Handbags of Charleston. During this
time, her bags were seen on Oprah's "O" List
and NBC's Friends.
A wonderful and important aspect to Margaret's art is her versatility. Her
designs range from whimsical characters and gifts to high end home products
and prints. As a result, Margaret is currently designing and licensing her
work to various manufacturers such as Artisan Flair.
